North Park Matrix 2010 Girls



This is a dynamic group of girls who had an awesome introductory season. As the youngest team to play for North Park Matrix, they made their mark, by finishing 3rd in their division. They’re looking forward to bettering that accomplishment in their upcoming season.

   

Meet The Coach



The Girls 2010 North Park Matrix team is lead by Head Coach Shawn McEvoy. Originally from South Africa, Shawn comes from a very heavy sports influenced background. He played soccer competitively growing up. He played club Rugby & Cricket in various countries. Once he moved to California, he returned to his passion for soccer as a coach. He coaches with an intense passion and enthusiasm for his team and for the game. Shawn has a strong focus on team building and fitness. He collaborates with other coaches and athletic programs to bring innovative ideas to increase endurance and skills for his team. He trains his team to play with an intense counter attacking style. Shawn is extremely dedicated to the growth and development of the Matrix club. Two of his daughters play Maritx Soccer. He has been coaching with AYSO for 5 years. All of his experience has been coaching girls. He has also coached Futsal and Indoor Soccer.Shawn currently holds an 11 v. 11 coaching license.
